Trollheimsporten Tourist Center

About 13 km west of Oppdal, at the entrance to Trollheimen, lies Trollheimsporten Tourist Center. Both tourists and locals visit here to participate in events and activities year-round.

This tourist center is a popular destination in every season, bustling with visitors and offering easy access to the mountains and unspoiled nature. Here, you can enjoy late summer evenings and camping life right in the heart of the mountains, and not least, dance on the outdoor area of the tourist center, in front of the Trollheimen stage.

Trollheimsporten Tourist Center offers a variety of accommodations including cabins and camping spots, as well as a tavern and pub with full rights, a kiosk, a TV room with a pool table, a sauna, a solarium, a barbecue hut, and a large playground with two in-ground trampolines. The pub also hosts concerts and various activities throughout the year. At the tavern, you can buy the daily special several days a week, enjoy a taco buffet on Fridays, and a pizza buffet on Saturdays.

In total, Trollheimsporten Tourist Center provides over 200 pitches with electricity hookups for caravans and motorhomes, of which 150 are permanent seasonal spots. Additionally, there are 3 rental cabins without toilets and showers, and a 5-person cabin with full amenities. The site also includes 2 separate sanitary facilities, 2 chemical toilets, 2 laundry rooms with washing machines, dryers, and drying cabinets, an electric vehicle charging station, and free internet access for all guests of the center.
